How to get involved in ministry at St. Hugh

You might begin by asking yourself the following questions:

"What gifts have I been given by the Holy Spirit?" (Everyone has them!)
Listening, sharing, caring about the sick or elderly, praying for others, organizing, teaching, caring for young people, speaking and understanding more than one language, electrical, painting or maintenance skills, an artistic eye for decoration, ease in social gatherings, or bringing people together?

"How do I enjoy exercising my gifts?"
With small or large groups of people, in my own home, wherever needed?

"Taking into account my primary vocational responsibilities to family, job or schooling, how much time is God giving me that I can give to others?"
An hour or so every week, some time every month, or a few hours several times a year?

"What would I hope to share with others through service?"
My faith and hope in Christ, the joy of being loved by God, a special talent or perspective God has given me?

YOUTH MINISTRY

Make A Difference!

The Comprehensive Youth Ministry Program offers the young people of our parish many different opportunities to experience church. The goal is to encourage youths to make a shift from their own teen community to a comprehensive model that brings teens more fully into the life of the Parish. The core of Youth Ministry is relationships — therefore, by expanding the scope of our program, we need more adults and young adults to come forward and be trained for this ministry to succeed.

(For information about youth ministry activities, see the Youth Ministry page.)
